Study of repellence on polymeric surfaces with two individually adjustable pore hierarchies

Andreas Goralczyk et al.

Summary: Highly repellent surfaces, such as oil-repellent textiles and self-cleaning coatings, have various applications. However, the current fabrication methods have limitations. This study introduces a new double-hierarchical Fluoropor material with tunable pore hierarchies. The research suggests that a micro-/nanoporosity with larger pores and higher volumetric loading of structuring particles enhances the repellent properties.
