Development of flexible paper substrate sensor based on 2D WS2 with S defects for room-temperature NH3 gas sensing

Summary: This study presents an enhanced room-temperature flexible paper-substrate sensor based on 2D tungsten disulfide (WS2) with S defects, which are synthesized by chemical exfoliation. The results show that WS2 with rich S defects exhibits nearly three times higher response intensity to NH3 gas than highly crystalline WS2. The flexible sensors demonstrate fast response, high stability, and multifunctional sensing detection for breathing detection and bending experiments.

Highly Selective Ethyl Mercaptan Sensing Using a MoSe2/SnO2 Composite at Room Temperature
