Summary: Research on psychotherapy for binge-eating disorder has mainly focused on cognitive behavioural therapies, but efficacy, failure to abstain, and dropout rates remain problematic. This study found that individual emotion-focused therapy (EFT) is a feasible treatment for BED, showing significant improvements in binge eating behaviors. Further randomized control trials are needed to assess its efficacy.
