The dietary practices and beliefs of people living with inactive ulcerative colitis

Benjamin Crooks et al.

Summary: This study found that individuals with inactive ulcerative colitis strongly believed in the connection between diet and disease onset and remission, with a significant percentage avoiding certain foods during remission. Female participants were more inclined to practice dietary avoidance. Additionally, some individuals experimented with exclusion diets, such as gluten- or lactose-free diets.
