The impact of Google Assistant on adolescent EFL learners' willingness to communicate

Summary: This study investigated the potentials of Google Assistant for developing adolescent EFL learners' WTC and their perceptions of IPAs for EFL learning. The results showed that Google Assistant significantly promoted learners' WTC, enhanced communicative confidence, and reduced speaking anxiety. Participants enjoyed interacting with Google Assistant, feeling less anxious and more motivated to use English for real and meaningful communication.
