Promoting creativity of nursing students in different teaching and learning settings: A quasi-experimental study

Summary: This study aims to evaluate the effect of interdisciplinary teaching on nursing students' creative thinking abilities. The results demonstrate that nursing students holding teaching assistantships scored significantly higher in creative thinking abilities compared to the control group, indicating the benefit of interdisciplinary teaching for nursing students' creative thinking abilities. Therefore, it is important to first emphasize improvements in academic performance for typical nursing students in Taiwan and then incorporate interdisciplinary teaching into nursing programs to enhance creative thinking.

Understanding the properties and processes of a creative teacher team

Summary: Creativity is not solely the result of individual action and thought, but is also influenced by the social and cultural contexts in which one works. Teacher teams, comprising a group of cooperative instructors, play important roles in stimulating creativity, yet information on how creativity is generated within these teams is limited. Data from video observations and interviews identified six key factors for generating creativity in teacher teams, including high team diversity, adaptive team schedule, balanced team goal/complex team mental models, flexible leadership, limited team conflict, and positive team climate.

The Study of the Relationships of Teacher's Creative Teaching, Imagination, and Principal's Visionary Leadership

Summary: This study investigates how a teacher's creative teaching is influenced by their imagination and their school principal's visionary leadership, with contextual moderating effects at play among cross-hierarchical factors. Findings suggest that a teacher's imagination positively impacts creative teaching, while the principal's visionary leadership can enhance autonomous learning and challenge-presenting. Vision feedback also plays a positive moderator role in the relationship between creative imagination, interactive discussion, and open-mindedness.
