Investigation on the effect of inclined crest step pool on scouring protection in erodible river beds

Rohallah Fattahi Nafchi et al.

Summary: The study evaluated the effectiveness of using a ramp on step-pools to protect water channels against erosion and reduce downstream scouring depth. Results showed that installing a ramp on the steps can significantly decrease the maximum scouring depth downstream, enhancing the stability of protective structures.

Developing an optimal design model of furrow irrigation based on the minimum cost and maximum irrigation efficiency

Kaveh Ostad-Ali-Askari

Summary: The foremost aim of channel irrigation is to choose suitable preparation and decision-making flexibles, optimizing costs and maximizing application efficiency. Factors such as soil features, channel, and net irrigation condition should also be considered. The Valiantzas equation is used to calculate project variables and irrigation competence for different soil and plant types.

Management of risks substances and sustainable development

Kaveh Ostad-Ali-Askari

Summary: Sustainable improvement is related to key variables that contribute to stable and secure positions. Hazardous substances and unsuitable soils have become one of the most important issues of insecurity for masculinity. Various countries have been monitoring unsafe substances and hazardous products. Although the safe evacuation of hazardous wastes has been an ongoing issue, research on the contrasting effects of dangerously bad backgrounds on anthropological well-being and conditions has determined that the unsafe overflow group will continue to be addressed during the current highest protection programs.

Investigation of meteorological variables on runoff archetypal using SWAT: basic concepts and fundamentals

Kaveh Ostad-Ali-As

Summary: This study examines the impacts of hydro-climatic excesses and uses the SWAT model to estimate the excess approximation. The results show that changes in meteorological parameters, including rainfall, solar energy, moisture, airstream, and temperature, have significant effects on the approximation. Among these parameters, solar energy, moisture, and temperature are the most sensitive.

Monitoring and investigating dust phenomenon on using remote sensing science, geographical information system and statistical methods

Sara Abdollahi et al.

Summary: The study examined Persian and English databases using keywords related to dust, heavy metals, remote sensing, geographical information systems, and statistical methods. Articles focusing on these areas were retrieved, descriptively analyzed, and reported for the period from 1992 to 2016. Findings showed that statistical methods, remote sensing, and geographical information systems are effective tools in studying dust monitoring and detection research.

Eco-hydrologic stability zonation of dams and power plants using the combined models of SMCE and CEQUALW2

Rouhallah Fatahi Nafchi et al.

Summary: This study focused on determining stable and instable eco-hydrologic regions in the study area by selecting factors affecting eco-hydrologic stability, preparing layers in GIS, weighting factors using analytic hierarchy process and pairwise comparisons, and integrating homogenous units to create a final map. The CEQUALW2 software was used to confirm data accuracy and perform water quality simulation in the studied dam, with pollutant source and water quality identified as the most important factors. The final map indicated unsuitable stability conditions in most areas at downstream reaches.

Computation of subsurface drain spacing in the unsteady conditions using Artificial Neural Networks (ANN)

Kaveh Ostad-Ali-Askari et al.

Summary: Artificial neural networks are effective tools for modeling nonlinear systems by applying weights to inputs and using activation functions to achieve desired outputs. In this study, ANN was used to calculate drain spacing in a specific region in Iran, showing good agreement with real values and high precision compared to other methods.
