Trajectories of Posttraumatic Stress in Youths After Natural Disasters

Summary: This cohort study evaluated PTS symptom trajectories among youths after 4 major US hurricanes and found that few youths reported chronic distress, with most trajectories reflecting recovery or low-decreasing PTS symptoms. Older age and male identification were associated with decreased odds of a chronic trajectory.

Resilience in adolescent refugees living in Malaysia: The association with religiosity and religious coping

Summary: The study found that the majority of adolescent refugees have moderate levels of resilience, and highlighted the interconnectedness between resilience and intrinsic religiosity, as well as positive and negative religious coping. Additionally, certain sociodemographic factors may impact the resilience of adolescent refugees.
