Dose-dependent effects of lead induced gut injuries: An in vitro and in vivo study

Leilei Yu et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the effects of different doses of Pb exposure on the gut microbiota and gut barrier, showing that Pb exposure can cause decreased cell viability, elevated ROS levels, and reduced expression of TJPs. In mouse models, Pb exposure led to colon tissue damage, inflammation, and dysbiosis in a dose-dependent manner.
