Rotaxane-branched radical dendrimers with TEMPO termini

Zhiyong Peng et al.

Summary: The precise synthesis of novel rotaxane-branched radical dendrimers with multiple TEMPO radicals as termini was successfully achieved. Nanoparticles with a good longitudinal relaxivity were prepared, making them potential candidates for contrast agents in magnetic resonance imaging.

Polymer Beads Decorated with Dendritic Systems as Supports for A3 Coupling Catalysts

Agnieszka Bukowska et al.

Summary: The gel type microscopic polymer beads were modified to decorate their surface with moieties of PAMAM dendrimer and different heterocyclic aldehydes, then used for immobilization of copper(II) ions and as catalysts in A(3) coupling reactions. The polymeric catalyst bearing 2-pyridinecarboxaldehyde moieties showed the best catalytic activity and could be recycled several times without significant decrease in activity.
