High-Performance Tin-Lead Mixed-Perovskite Solar Cells with Vertical Compositional Gradient

Jiupeng Cao et al.

Summary: Lead-tin mixed perovskite materials have potential in approaching the Shockley-Queisser limit in solar cells, but their efficiency and stability need further improvement. By introducing 4-hydrazinobenzoic acid and SnF2 as additives, along with controlling antisolvent temperature to form a vertical Pb/Sn compositional gradient in perovskite films, graded vertical heterojunctions can be constructed to enhance efficiency and stability of solar cells. Under optimal conditions, the lead-tin mixed perovskite solar cells show up to 22% power conversion efficiency and excellent stability.

Efficient Passivation Strategy on Sn Related Defects for High Performance All-Inorganic CsSnI3 Perovskite Solar Cells

Bo Li et al.

Summary: This study utilized a thioamides passivation strategy to modulate defect state density at surfaces and grain boundaries in CsSnI3 perovskites, achieving high-performance all-inorganic CsSnI3 PSCs. Surface passivation reduced deep level trap state defect density originating from Sn2+ ion and Sn2+ oxidation, restraining nonradiative recombination and elongating carrier lifetime.

Roles of MACl in Sequentially Deposited Bromine-Free Perovskite Absorbers for Efficient Solar Cells

Feihong Ye et al.

Summary: This study systematically investigated the role of MACl in sequentially deposited Br-free FA-based perovskites, revealing that MACl can regulate the reaction, phase transition, and crystallization. Compared to traditional FAPbI(3), perovskites with MACl exhibit superior performance in terms of grain size, carrier lifetime, and trap density.

Surface Engineering of Ambient-Air-Processed Cesium Lead Triiodide Layers for Efficient Solar Cells

So Me Yoon et al.

Summary: Cesium lead triiodide (CsPbI3) has a desirable band gap and high thermal stability, but its power conversion efficiency (PCE) is lower than that of organic cation-based halide perovskites with identical band gaps. The PCE of CsPbI3 solar cells is mainly governed by the surface morphology and defect passivation of its thin films.
