An approach to forecast impact of Covid-19 using supervised machine learning model

Senthilkumar Mohan et al.

Summary: The Covid-19 pandemic has highlighted the urgent need for robust forecasting techniques for disease detection, alleviation, and prevention. A multimodel machine learning technique called EAMA has been proposed for long-term forecasting of Covid-19 related parameters within India and globally, showing predicted data to be very similar to real-time values. This study utilized datasets from the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare of India and Worldometers for predictions, demonstrating the suitability of the EAMA hybrid model for accurate and reliable forecasts.

An External-Validated Prediction Model to Predict Lung Metastasis among Osteosarcoma: A Multicenter Analysis Based on Machine Learning

Wenle Li et al.

Summary: This study developed and validated a clinical prediction model based on machine learning algorithms to predict the risk of lung metastasis in osteosarcoma patients. The model performed well in predicting lung metastasis, with the extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost) algorithm showing the highest area under the curve (AUC) value. The web calculator based on this model can help clinicians determine the risk of lung metastasis and make individualized medical strategies for osteosarcoma patients.
