Tree diversity, distribution and regeneration in major forest types along an extensive elevational gradient in Indian Himalaya: Implications for sustainable forest management

Summary: Elevation plays a crucial role in determining the diversity and distribution of forest tree species in mountainous landscapes. This study in the Indian Himalaya region found that tree species richness decreases with increasing altitude, with four distinct forest communities identified based on distribution patterns.
