Differential Changes in ACPA Fine Specificity and Gene Expression in a Randomized Trial of Abatacept and Adalimumab in Rheumatoid Arthritis

Omar Jabado et al.

Summary: In the AMPLE study, despite similar clinical outcomes, the pharmacodynamic and genetic changes after two years of treatment with abatacept or adalimumab were consistent with the different mechanisms of action of the two drugs. Treatment for two years showed that abatacept had a more significant effect on ACPAs and gene expression compared to adalimumab.
