Metal-organic frameworks with different oxidation states of metal nodes and aminoterephthalic acid ligand for degradation of Rhodamine B under solar light

Dhanaprabhu Pattappan et al.

Summary: Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have shown potential as effective visible light photocatalysts for degrading dyes. Among nickel, iron, and titanium-based MOFs, Fe-MOF exhibited the highest dye degradation efficiency and stability under solar light irradiation, attributed to its ability to suppress photoinduced charge recombination. Furthermore, the photodegradation of dye using Fe-MOF followed first-order kinetics and was mainly driven by superoxide anion radicals.
