Application of Cyanobacteria (Roholtiella sp.) Liquid Extract for the Alleviation of Salt Stress in Bell Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) Plants Grown in a Soilless System

Antagonistic Effect of Plant Growth-Promoting Fungi Against Fusarium Wilt Disease in Tomato: In vitro and In vivo Study

Summary: This study investigated the antifungal and plant growth-promoting capabilities of plant growth-promoting fungi (PGPF) and found that Aspergillus fumigatus and Rhizopus oryzae showed promising antifungal activity against Fusarium oxysporum, the causal agent of tomato wilt disease. The application of A. fumigatus and R. oryzae successfully decreased disease severity and increased plant protection percentage. Moreover, these PGPF strains also positively influenced the physiological markers and enzyme activity in both non-infected and infected plants.
