Summary: This study found that patients with heart failure and reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) had a higher risk for a composite of all-cause death, heart failure hospitalization, and stroke or systemic embolism after atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation compared to patients with mid-range or preserved LVEF. Reduced LVEF was identified as the most significant independent risk factor for this outcome.
