Optimal Management strategies to solve issues of grid having Electric Vehicles (EV): A review

Muhammad Tayyab Hussain et al.

Summary: This paper highlights the important role of electric vehicles in reducing greenhouse gases and fuel utilization, but also points out the challenges they bring to the grid system. Decentralized coordination and central coordination are two management strategies to address these challenges, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Additionally, integration of renewable energy sources is considered an effective way to solve the issues related to electric vehicle integration.

Flexibility Control in Autonomous Demand Response by Optimal Power Tracking

Klaus Rheinberger et al.

Summary: This paper highlights the shortcomings of using time dependent prices as signals in incentive-based autonomous demand response systems. It proposes the use of power signals instead and demonstrates the efficiency of power tracking signals over real-time price signals in controlling flexibilities. The study conducted simulations using German renewable energy production and load profiles, showing that power tracking approach outperformed the pricing approach in various aspects such as imbalance energy, peak consumption, storage variation, and storage losses.
