Carbon footprint of cotton production in China: Composition, spatiotemporal changes and driving factors

Summary: This study analyzed the carbon footprint of cotton production in China and identified the main drivers of carbon emissions. It found that fertilizer, irrigation electricity, and agricultural film were significant factors at the micro level, while the economic factor played a key role at the macro level. Improving efficiency and ensuring high-quality development are effective strategies to reduce carbon emissions.

A combined machine learning algorithms and DEA method for measuring and predicting the efficiency of Chinese manufacturing listed companies

Summary: This article establishes a connection between the DEA method and machine learning algorithms, proposing the ML-DEA algorithm for measuring and predicting the efficiency of DMUs. By analyzing and comparing the performance of Chinese manufacturing listed companies in 2016 with the DEA efficiency scores obtained, the study demonstrates that the ML-DEA algorithms have an average accuracy of around 94%, with GANN-DEA ranked highest in performance followed by BPNN-DEA, ISVM-DEA, and SVM-DEA in descending order.
