Determination of sensitivity of drainage morphometry towards hydrological response interactions for various datasets

Akshay Omprakash Jain et al.

Summary: This study compared the morphometric parameters of stream networks derived from different DEMs to evaluate the relative vertical accuracy of the DEMs. The results showed that DEMs with the same spatial resolution can have variable morphometry derivatives due to different data acquisition and data processing techniques used. Evaluating the performance of various DEMs in drainage delineation and basin morphometry helps understand the complexity and susceptibility arising from different data acquisition and processing techniques. The study suggests that SRTM-GL1 performs better in drainage delineation and basin morphometry, followed by AW3D30, CartoDEM-V3.1, and GDEM-V2 when compared with terrain attributes derived from SOI toposheet.
