Research on Array Structures of Acoustic Directional Transducer

Guozhu Zhao et al.

Summary: This paper focuses on the directivity design of array structures of acoustic directional transducers, utilizing Huygens principles to derive the directivity formula for transducer arrays under random distribution. Findings show that conical transducer arrays exhibit side lobes at higher frequencies, while rapid changes in array directivity are observed below 2 kHz. Above 2 kHz, array directivity varies slowly with frequency, and the beam width is Theta(-3 dB) <= 29.85 degrees.

Micromotor Manipulation Using Ultrasonic Active Traveling Waves

Hiep Xuan Cao et al.

Summary: Ultrasonic manipulation technology shows great potential in the field of therapeutic applications, especially the traveling wave-based manipulation method which has advantages in vivo environments. This study presents a novel UT array that can generate active traveling waves with phase modulation, successfully manipulating a micromotor in water. The feasibility of the method was demonstrated through in vitro and ex vivo experiments using a UT array with 16 transducers at 1 MHz.

Locomotion and disaggregation control of paramagnetic nanoclusters using wireless electromagnetic fields for enhanced targeted drug delivery

Kim Tien Nguyen et al.

Summary: This study presents a method to control the motion of paramagnetic nanoclusters using rotating and gradient magnetic fields, showing significantly faster response and higher targeting rate. The enhanced tumbling motion achieved with this method has double the velocity of conventional tumbling and 130% higher than gradient pulling motion, indicating the potential for improved targeted drug delivery with MNRs.
