Comprehensive Next-Generation Sequencing Reveals Novel Predictive Biomarkers of Recurrence and Thoracic Toxicity Risks After Chemoradiation Therapy in Limited Stage Small Cell Lung Cancer

Li Li et al.

Summary: By examining the mutational landscape of a large cohort of limited-stage SCLC, we identified novel molecular predictors of survival and radiation-induced thoracic toxicity (RITT). Our findings also implicate several key molecular pathways, including the MAPK/ERK and DNA damage repair pathways, in the regulation of dCRT response.

Management of Stage III Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer: ASCO Guideline

Megan E. Daly et al.

Summary: This article provides evidence-based recommendations for the management of patients with stage III non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The recommendations were developed through a literature search and expert consensus, covering various aspects of evaluation, surgery, neoadjuvant and adjuvant approaches, and management of unresectable stage III NSCLC.

Comparison of Application Value of Different Radiation Dose Evaluation Methods in Evaluating Radiation Dose of Adult Thoracic and Abdominal CT Scan

Jimin He et al.

Summary: This study aims to compare the differences among volumetric CT dose index (CTDIvol), body-specific dose assessment (SSDEED) based on effective diameter (ED), and SSDEWED based on water equivalent diameter (WED) in evaluating the radiation dose of adult thoracic and abdominal CT scanning. The results showed that SSDEWED based on WED can more accurately evaluate the radiation dose received by patients of different sizes during the chest and abdomen CT scan.

Genetic Variants of DNA Repair Genes as Predictors of Radiation-Induced Subcutaneous Fibrosis in Oropharyngeal Carcinoma

Ankita Gupta et al.

Summary: The study discovered significant associations between single nucleotide polymorphisms of DNA repair genes and radiation-induced subcutaneous fibrosis in patients with oropharyngeal carcinoma undergoing radiotherapy, with certain genotypes potentially predicting the risk of developing severe subcutaneous fibrosis.
