A Bibliometric Analysis and Visualization of Current Research Trends in Chinese Medicine for Osteosarcoma

Yin Meng-chen et al.

Summary: Through bibliometric analysis and visualization tools, this study illustrates the research framework, overall knowledge structure, and development trends of Chinese medicine treatment for osteosarcoma. The results show that the field is still in its early stages, with imbalanced distribution of research and weak cooperation. Basic research is dominant, and exploring the molecular mechanism of Chinese medicine in preventing and treating osteosarcoma may become a key focus in the future.

The Novel Tumor Microenvironment-Related Prognostic Gene AIF1 May Influence Immune Infiltrates and is Correlated with TIGIT in Esophageal Cancer

Xiaoling Xu et al.

Summary: Esophageal carcinoma (EC) is a significant cause of cancer-related mortality globally. Studying the tumor microenvironment (TME) and its associations with pathology and prognosis can provide insights into prognostic prediction mechanisms as well as potential targets for immunotherapy in EC treatment. Results from transcriptomic profiles of EC patients revealed TME-related genes, such as allograft inflammatory factor 1 (AIF1), as promising prognostic factors. Additionally, AIF1 was found to impact immune infiltrates and showed a correlation with T-cell immunoreceptor with Ig and ITIM domains (TIGIT) expression. Further mechanistic studies are warranted.

A Bibliometric Analysis and Visualization of Current Research Trends in the Treatment of Cervical Spondylotic Myelopathy

Mengchen Yin et al.

Summary: This study utilized bibliometric analysis to explore the knowledge structure and development trends of cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM). Research hotspots identified include cervical sagittal alignment, predictive factors, diffusion tensor imaging, and the natural history of CSM. The findings indicate that the number of publications in the CSM field is steadily increasing, with weak collaboration observed and the United States being the leading country in research productivity.

Identification of a Putative Enhancer RNA for EGFR in Hyper-Accessible Regions in Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma Cells by Analysis of Chromatin Accessibility Landscapes

Sangyong Choi et al.

Summary: Abnormal genetic and epigenetic modifications play a key role in esophageal cancer. This study used ATAC-seq to compare chromatin accessibility landscapes among ESCC cells and non-cancerous esophageal epithelial cells, revealing hyper-accessible regions containing cancer hallmark genes and identifying a putative enhancer RNA for EGFR gene and the reliance of ESCC on AP-1 transcription factor.
