Generation of magnetic field in the low-latitude ionosphere by tsunami wave

V. M. Sorokin et al.

Summary: This study explores the generation of electric current by tsunami waves in the ocean and ionosphere, highlighting the potential for greater electric current in the ionosphere due to exponential increase of AGW amplitude. The influence of geomagnetic field inclination on current perturbation is also examined. Additionally, the possibility of satellite monitoring of tsunami waves based on recording electromagnetic field in middle and low latitudes is demonstrated.
