The inflammatory role of dysregulated IRS2 in pulmonary vascular remodeling under hypoxic conditions

Mayumi Nakahara et al.

Summary: IRS2 plays a crucial role in the pathology of pulmonary arterial hypertension by regulating macrophage activation and recruitment to limit vascular inflammation, remodeling, and right ventricular hypertrophy. Restoring the IRS2 pathway may be an effective therapeutic approach for the treatment of pulmonary hypertension and right heart failure.
