Qijie Jin et al.

Summary: In this study, a W-Zr-Ox/Ti-Ce-Mn-Ox (WZ/TCM) catalyst was designed for the co-catalytic removal of multiple pollutants. The catalyst showed excellent performance and resistance to sulfur and water. It exhibited good oxidation activity for NO and chlorobenzene at different temperatures.

High-temperature selective catalytic reduction of NO with NH3: Optimization of ZrO2 and WO3 complex oxides

Zhanzhi Ge et al.

Summary: The performance of ZrO2-WO3 prepared by blending method for NH3-SCR of NO was significantly better than that of WO3/ZrO2 prepared by impregnation method. The ZrO2-WO3 containing 20% WO3 has the best performance in NH3-SCR of NO with NO conversion higher than 90% and N2 selectivity higher than 90% at 450-650 degrees C, unaffected by SO2 and minorly affected by water vapor interference. Further investigation revealed that the NH3-SCR of NO over the ZrO2-WO3 reaction followed both L-H and E-R mechanisms, indicating its potential for efficient NOx removal.

Enhancement of low-temperature NH3-SCR catalytic activity and H2O & SO2 resistance over commercial V2O5-MoO3/TiO2 catalyst by high shear-induced doping of expanded graphite

Rui Wu et al.

Summary: The study found that doping of EG by high shear method could enhance the performance of SCR reaction, improving the resistance to H2O and SO2, with maintaining about 90% NO conversion rate. This was achieved by ensuring uniform distribution of TiO2 particles with EG and increasing surface area, Bronsted and Lewis acid sites, as well as VO2+ and adsorbed oxygen species on the surface.

Unusual positive effect of SO2 on Mn-Ce mixed-oxide catalyst for the SCR reaction of NOx with NH3

JiaYu Chen et al.

Summary: The high-performance denitration catalyst based on Mn-Ce mixed-oxide demonstrated outstanding low-temperature activity and excellent SO2 tolerance, with abundant active sites and a porous structure. The introduction of SO2 enhanced catalytic activity and suppressed unwanted ammonia oxidation. The reaction pathway on the mixed oxide was confirmed to be the L-H mechanism based on in situ DRIFTS.

Two steps synthesis of CeTiOx oxides nanotube catalyst: Enhanced activity, resistance of SO2 and H2O for low temperature NH3-SCR of NOx

Zhiping Zhang et al.

Summary: CeTiOx-T with nanotube structure exhibits excellent catalytic activity, SO2 and H2O tolerance, and stability in NH3-SCR reaction. The strong interaction between Ce and Ti leads to short-range ordered Ce-O-Ti species, resulting in a larger BET surface area and higher NH3-SCR performance than traditional catalysts. In situ DRIFTS results suggest different reaction mechanisms at low and high temperatures over CeTiOx-T.

Deactivation of CeO2-TiO2 catalyst by K2SO4 for NH3-SCR: An experimental and DFT study

Ye Jiang et al.

Summary: This study investigated the poisoning mechanism of K2SO4 on CeO2-TiO2 catalyst, finding that K2SO4 can affect the reducibility and surface acidity of the catalyst, inhibit NH3 adsorption, promote NOx adsorption, and decrease the reactivity of newly formed NOx. Additionally, the presence of K+ and SO42- simultaneously had an adverse effect on surface acidity and redox ability of the catalyst.

A strategy for constructing highly efficient yolk-shell Ce@Mn@TiOx catalyst with dual active sites for low-temperature selective catalytic reduction of NO with NH3

Xiaosheng Huang et al.

Summary: In this work, core-shell Ce@MnOx catalysts were prepared by hydrothermal treatment, improving redox capacity through the coexistence of Ce and Mn. Yolk-shell Ce@Mn@TiOx structures were constructed to enhance ammonia adsorption and protect active sites, showing excellent catalytic performance for NH3-SCR. The outer TiO2 shell enhanced ammonia adsorption, while the MnOx interlayer ensured efficient redox cycles during the process.

Keke Kang et al.

Summary: A novel K-resistant Fe3+ and Zr4+ co-doped CeTiOx catalyst was prepared for NH3-SCR of NOx, showing superior K-resistance and improved activity after K-poisoning. The proposed anti-K poisoning mechanism involves sacrificial Fe and Zr forming protective species, as well as additional reducibility and surface acidity enhancing distribution.
