An Attitudinal Nonlinear Integral and Applications in Decision Making

Liguo Fei et al.

Summary: In this study, a new nonlinear integral method is proposed, considering the impact of nonadditive measures and introducing the subjective attitude of decision makers. A multi-criteria decision-making method is developed based on the proposed attitudinal nonlinear integral, and its usefulness is demonstrated through a case study.

Relief demand forecasting based on intuitionistic fuzzy case-based reasoning

Jianfang Shao et al.

Summary: The paper proposes a demand prediction method called intuitionistic fuzzy case-based reasoning (IFCBR) for relief material requirements, which combines the advantages of intuitionistic fuzzy theory and case-based reasoning. Similarity calculation methods and a new weight calculation method are also introduced. The validity of the method is verified through a case study and empirical evaluation experiment, providing decision support for relief material requirements and a basis for resource allocation.

Prepositioning and distributing relief items in humanitarian logistics with uncertain parameters

Seyed Reza Abazari et al.

Summary: This research focuses on the role of humanitarian supply chain in mitigating damages after natural disasters, introducing a multi-objective programming model for managing relief item distribution. By determining the location and quantity of relief centers and transportation plans, losses are effectively reduced, with the model applied to the 2019 Iran flood as a case study to demonstrate practical effectiveness.

Using Z-number to measure the reliability of new information fusion method and its application in pattern recognition

Ye Tian et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a new information fusion method based on Dempster-Shafer theory and K-means clustering, and establishes a reliability evaluation criterion based on Z-number. The method shows better robustness and sensitivity compared to existing methods, successfully addressing critical issues in DST.

Multi-objective sustainable opened- and closed-loop supply chain under mixed uncertainty during COVID-19 pandemic situation

Arijit Mondal et al.

Summary: Logistics problems are crucial during emergencies, especially during a critical situation like the COVID-19 pandemic. This paper proposes a multi-objective multi-product multi-period two-stage sustainable supply chain planning to maintain supply during the pandemic. By considering uncertain-random parameters, a robust optimization approach is utilized to deal with different scenarios, with a multi-attribute decision making approach determining priority areas based on urgency.

Intuitionistic fuzzy decision-making in the framework of Dempster-Shafer structures

Liguo Fei et al.

Summary: This paper focuses on the problem of multicriteria decision-making in intuitionistic fuzzy environments and proposes an OWA-based MOS approach to effectively aggregate intuitionistic fuzzy values using Dempster's rule. By introducing a golden rule-based representative value for IFVs comparison, the shortcomings of score functions are overcome in intuitionistic fuzzy decision-making. The research results indicate that the proposed method is more flexible and can better solve the problem of intuitionistic fuzzy decision-making in the framework of DST.

A systematic review of prediction methods for emergency management

Di Huang et al.

Summary: The rise in global warming and destructive human activities have led to an increase in catastrophic events worldwide, posing significant threats to human life and social stability. The emergency management (EM) system is crucial in saving lives and minimizing property damage. Recent years have seen a surge in contributions to prediction techniques for disaster events, including statistical analysis, artificial intelligence, and simulation methods, prompting the need for a systematic analysis of current works.

A system dynamics model for social vulnerability to natural disasters: Disaster risk assessment of an Australian city

Seyed Ashkan Zarghami et al.

Summary: The study of social vulnerability to natural disasters lacks the ability to predict changes in contributing factors, so a System Dynamics modeling approach is introduced to forecast the evolution of social vulnerability. The research constructs a Causal Loop Diagram and converts it to a Stock and Flow Diagram to generate a social vulnerability index, and evaluates disaster risk in an Australian city.
