Non-contrast CT markers of intracerebral hematoma expansion: a reliability study

Ahmad Nehme et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the agreement among clinicians in detecting non-contrast CT markers of intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) expansion. The results showed that four out of nine markers demonstrated substantial to almost perfect inter-rater agreement, while the agreement for other markers was relatively lower.

Trends in Incidence and Mortality of Stroke in China From 1990 to 2019

Tong Sun et al.

Summary: Although the incidence and mortality rates of stroke in China decreased from 1990 to 2019, the number of incident cases and deaths nearly doubled. A sharp increase in the incidence rate of ischemic stroke was observed, with a higher incidence rate of ischemic stroke in women.

Plasma D-dimer predicts poor outcome and mortality after spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage

Qi Zhou et al.

Summary: The elevated plasma D-dimer level after spontaneous ICH is associated with poor functional outcome and mortality. This suggests that the elevated D-dimer level has a predictive value for the outcome and mortality in patients with spontaneous ICH.
