Additionally, utilizing deep traps to store and release electrons enabled the devices to achieve multifunctional anti-counterfeiting functions.

The afterglow lifetime of Bi3+ was drastically reduced and the saturation threshold greatly increased with the incorporation of Nd3+. This phosphor has potential applications in self-powered stress monitoring and imaging.
