Numerical analysis of combined electroosmotic-pressure driven flow of a viscoelastic fluid over high zeta potential modulated surfaces

Bimalendu Mahapatra et al.

Summary: This numerical study investigates the mixed electroosmotic and pressure-driven transport of an Oldroyd-B fluid through a microchannel with high surface charge modulated walls. The study shows that enhanced fluid elasticity leads to the generation of asymmetric flow structures inside the microchannel, and increasing the strength of surface potential or reducing the thickness of the electrical double layer can greatly enhance the fluid flow performance. The results highlight the importance of electrochemical parameters and the complex interaction of fluid rheology and asymmetric surface potential in altering the net-throughput inside the microchannel for bio-fluid transport.

Summary: This paper investigates the transient bioconvection flow of chemically reactive cross nanofluid over a permeable cylinder under the impact of nonlinear radiation and binary chemical reactions, considering Arrhenius activation energy influences and a revised model of nanoparticles. Numerical solutions show that the density number of microorganisms decreases and nanoparticles concentration increases with certain parameters in both cases of stretching and shrinking cylinder. Comparisons with existing studies demonstrate excellent agreement.

Mathematical study of Electroosmotically driven peristaltic flow of Casson fluid inside a tube having systematically contracting and relaxing sinusoidal heated walls

Salman Saleem et al.

Summary: This study interprets the mathematically driven electro-osmotic flow of Casson fluid across a cylindrical geometry with contracting and relaxing sinusoidal walls, while also investigating heat transfer phenomena and the effects of Joule heating and viscosity. By using lubrication approximation, the mathematical equations governing the flow of Casson fluid are simplified into dimensionless form, and exact mathematical solutions are obtained. Graphical results demonstrate the helpfulness of electroosmosis in controlling both flow and heat transfer.

Lie Group Analysis of Nanofluid Slip Flow with Stefan Blowing Effect via Modified Buongiorno's Model: Entropy Generation Analysis

Puneet Rana et al.

Summary: This article presents a detailed theoretical and computational analysis of alumina and titania-water nanofluid flow from a horizontal stretching sheet, considering velocity slip, thermal slip, and Stefan blowing effects at the boundary. The study shows that the diffusion parameter is a key factor in retarding friction and heat transfer rate. Furthermore, the analysis reveals that the temperature of the fluid decreases with higher values of the thermal slip parameter, while the entropy generation number increases with nanoparticles ambient concentration and Reynolds number.
