Analysis of wind turbine usage in greenhouses: wind resource assessment, distributed generation of electricity and environmental protection

Summary: Renewable energy usage, especially wind resource, is expanding due to environmental pollution and high prices of fossil fuels. This study collected data using the Weibull distribution function and investigated the wind energy potential of eight regions in Iran. The results showed that Firoozkouh has the highest energy density and good capacity for utilizing wind energy. Wind can be used to provide a partial or total portion of the required energy for greenhouses.
