Morphological and molecular identification of four Purpureocillium isolates and evaluating their efficacy against the sweet potato whitefly, Bemisia tabaci (Genn.) (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae)

Tingfei Sun et al.

Summary: This study isolated and characterized four strains of Purpureocillium lilacinum against the sweet potato whitefly, with the XI-5 isolate showing the highest virulence. While further field bioassays and formulation development are needed, these newly isolated strains have potential as biopesticides against whiteflies.
