Built-Up Area Change Detection Using Multi-Task Network with Object-Level Refinement

Song Gao et al.

Summary: The detection and monitoring of changes in urban buildings have been extensively studied in the field of remote sensing. Deep learning-based methods have become the mainstream approach for urban building change detection due to their strong learning ability and robustness. However, the limited availability of sufficient training samples hinders the practical application of these methods. In this study, a novel multi-task network based on transfer learning is proposed, which reduces the dependency on training samples and improves the change detection results through object-level refinement algorithm.
