By using magnetic nanobots to target and eliminate bacteria deep inside dentine, the failure of root canal treatments can be reduced, relieving the global burden of oral diseases.
Root Canal Treatment Root canal treatments fail due to remnant bacteria in the tubules of the dentine tissue of human teeth. In article number 2200232 by Ambarish Ghosh and co-workers, magnetic nanobots can target pathogens deep inside the dentine, thereby reducing the bacterial load and preventing the failure of root canal treatment. This technique can reduce the global burden of oral diseases.
