Race and the spatialisation of risk during the 2013-2016 West African Ebola epidemic

Contextualizing Risk Perception and Trust in the Community-Based Response to Ebola Virus Disease in Liberia

Direct community involvement increased trust between citizens, officials, and response teams, leading to greater acceptance of safety protocols, receptiveness to risk information, and changes in mobility patterns that significantly impacted the course of the epidemic.
