Summary: The estimation of post-traumatic survival time in bone injuries remains challenging, especially with dry bones. Microcomputed tomography (micro-CT) has shown the potential to improve the interpretation of antemortem and perimortem lesions, and accurately date fractures. While micro-CT cannot replace histological examination for estimating PTST, it serves as a valuable complementary tool for bone trauma analysis.
