A simple method for labeling proteins and antibodies with biotin using the proximity biotinylation enzyme TurboID

Ryouhei Shioya et al.

Summary: TurboID is a highly active enzyme for proximity labeling with biotin. In this study, a novel simple biotin labeling method using TurboID is demonstrated for proteins and antibodies. The TurboID-mediated biotin labeling can be used directly for immunoblotting detection of specific proteins without the need for purification.
