Evolution of Annealing Twins in a Hot Deformed Nickel-Based Superalloy

Yu-Chi Xia et al.

Summary: The hot deformation characteristics of GH4169 superalloy were investigated, and the effects of deformation parameters on flow curves and annealing twins were discussed. It was found that the deformation temperature greatly affected the shapes of flow curves, and the evolution of annealing twins was sensitive to deformation degree, temperature, and strain rate.

Precipitate coarsening and its effects on the hot deformation behavior of the recently developed γ′-strengthened superalloys

Yuting Wu et al.

Summary: The coarsening behavior of gamma prime precipitates plays a significant role in the properties and hot deformation behavior of gamma'-strengthened superalloys. The particle size is crucial in the morphological evolution of precipitates, with different morphologies observed in different types of superalloys. The coarsening kinetics of precipitates are described using Lifshitz-Slyozof-Wagner (LSW) theory and Trans-Interface Diffusion Controlled (TIDC) theory in the research.

The kinetics of dynamic recrystallization and construction of constitutive modeling of RAFM steel in the hot deformation process

Guowang Liu et al.

Summary: The study investigates the DRX behavior of austenite in reduced activation ferritic/martensitic steel through isothermal compression tests and constitutive modelling. Flow stress and softening behavior are found to be influenced by deformation temperature and strain rate. A new recrystallization kinetics model is developed to understand the relationship between recrystallization volume fraction and grain size during hot deformation, providing insights for controlling grain size in industrial processes.
