Microalgal Lipid Extracts Have Potential to Modulate the Inflammatory Response: A Critical Review

Tiago Alexandre Conde et al.

Summary: Noncommunicable diseases and age-associated diseases are major global health concerns linked to chronic inflammation and poor dietary habits. Modulating inflammation through dietary components, particularly bioactive lipids found in microalgae, shows promise in combating these diseases. Further research is being conducted to explore the anti-inflammatory potential of microalgae lipids for preventing and mitigating chronic inflammation.
