Summary: Photoactivated chitosan-based nanoparticles have been shown to effectively eliminate bacterial biofilm, inactivate endotoxins, and promote bone regeneration. This study presented successful healing outcomes in cases of extensive inflammatory root resorption using a combination of surgical and nonsurgical root canal therapy with rose bengal functionalized chitosan nanoparticles. Postoperative follow-up demonstrated significant osseous healing and type I pattern of root fracture healing.
