The depressurization of natural gas hydrate in the multi-physics coupling simulation based on a new developed constitutive model

Linghui Huang et al.

Summary: This study established a multi-field coupling model considering the influence of sediment damage in hydrate formation and exploitation processes. The results showed that sediment damage significantly affects soil deformation and temperature, reducing the minimum temperature at the extraction points and increasing deformation. The model also revealed the self-preservation effect of gas hydrate.
