This paper investigates the long-time behavior of solutions for a transmission problem of Timoshenko beam with memory. The study reveals that the stability of the system holds for a larger class of relaxation functions and achieves a higher decay rate than previously reported in the literature. Numerical tests are also conducted to validate the theoretical findings.
This paper studies the long-time behavior of solutions for a transmission problem of Timoshenko beam with memory. We show that the stability of the system holds for a much larger class of relaxation functions and get better decay rate than the ones existing in the literature. We also give some numerical tests to validate the theoretical results.
