Towards a standardized protocol for studying chemolithoautotrophic denitrification with pyrite at circumneutral pH

Summary: Laboratory studies on chemolithoautotrophic microbial denitrification coupled to pyrite oxidation at circumneutral pH have yielded conflicting results, possibly due to inconsistent experimental and analytical protocols leading to uncertainty and potential artifacts. To overcome these interferences, a series of experimental standard protocols have been proposed in this study.
