Trends in acute ischemic stroke treatments and mortality in the United States from 2012 to 2018

Summary: From 2012 to 2018, there was a significant increase in the use of tPA and MT among AIS patients, while overall 90-day mortality decreased. The most dramatic decrease in mortality was observed in patients treated with MT. Age-standardized mortality improved only in patients older than 70 years, with no change in younger patients.
