Structure-Activity Correlation Analyses of MEA+3A1P/MAE Isomers with a Coordinative Effect Study

Huancong Shi et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates the existence of coordinative effect in MEA + 3A1P and MEA + MAE solvents, leading to enhanced absorption and desorption performance of CO2. Both MEA + 3A1P and MEA + MAE outperform the individual 3A1P and MAE in terms of CO2 absorption/desorption.

Analyzing the potential benefits of trio-amine systems for enhancing the CO2 desorption processes

Xiayi Hu et al.

Summary: This study developed an effective trio-amine blend by combining three conventional amines, which significantly reduced the energy consumption and improved the efficiency of CO2 capture. Detailed analysis of the regeneration mechanism revealed that increasing the proton provider in the blend could lower the energy consumption. Compared to reported amine systems, MEA-1DMA2P-PZ showed potential for industrial-scale CO2 capture.

Nondestructive prediction of freshness for bighead carp (Hypophthalmichthys nobilis) head by Excitation-Emission Matrix (EEM) analysis based on fish eye fluid: Comparison of BPNNs and RBFNNs

Xin Shi et al.

Summary: This study established BPNNs and RBFNNs models based on the characteristic components of EEM to evaluate the freshness of bighead carp head storage at different temperatures. The results showed that the EEM-BPNNs models outperformed the EEM-RBFNNs models in predicting the freshness.

Improvement of CO2 capture processes by tailoring the reaction enthalpy of Aprotic N-Heterocyclic anion-based ionic liquids

D. Hospital-Benito et al.

Summary: A series of Aprotic N-Heterocyclic Anion-based Ionic Liquids (AHA-ILs) were designed as chemical absorbents for industrial-scale CO2 capture processes. Through simulations, AHA-ILs within a specific range of CO2 reaction enthalpies were found to minimize solvent and energy consumptions. Some non-synthesized AHA-ILs showed promising performance as CO2 chemical absorbents.

Evaluating Energy-Efficient Solutions of CO2 Capture within Tri-solvent MEA plus BEA plus AMP within 0.1+2+2-0.5+2+2 mol/L Combining Heterogeneous Acid-Base Catalysts

Huancong Shi et al.

Summary: The study investigated the reduction of energy penalty in the CO2 desorption process of amine-based CO2 capture technology by using a combination of coordinative effect and heterogeneous catalysis. Results showed that the combination of specific concentrations of tri-solvents with catalysts can significantly improve the absorption and desorption efficiency of CO2.

Application of ?coordinative effect? into tri-solvent MEA plus BEA plus AMP blends at concentrations of 0.1+2+2-0.5+2+2 mol/L with absorption, desorption and mass transfer analyses

Huancong Shi et al.

Summary: The study discovered a "coordinative effect" in MEA and RR?NH solvents, which can enhance CO2 absorption and desorption efficiency. The results indicated that MEA + BEA + AMP solvents performed better in both CO2 absorption and desorption than BEA + AMP, contrary to the conventional concept that MEA deteriorates desorption.
