Feature Extraction of Ship Radiation Signals Based on Wavelet Packet Decomposition and Energy Entropy

Yuxing Li et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a method based on wavelet packet decomposition and energy entropy to extract features of ship radiation signals, and achieves accurate classification and recognition through comparing different feature parameters. The experimental results show that the method has a recognition rate of up to 98%.

A Fault Diagnosis Scheme Using Hurst Exponent for Metal Particle Faults in GIL/GIS

Dawei Duan et al.

Summary: A diagnosis scheme using the Hurst exponent is proposed for metal particle faults in GIL/GIS, which improves the accuracy of classification and identification. The scheme processes the vibration signal generated by metal particle collision using variational mode decomposition (VMD) with particle swarm optimization and adaptive parameter adjustment. The SVM model classifies and identifies fault types based on the Hurst exponents of each intrinsic mode function (IMF-H). Experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the scheme, showing significant improvement in SVM classification performance with the new feature vector, and enhanced decomposition quality with VMD based on adaptive parameter adjustment.

A novel denoising method for vibration signal of hob spindle based on EEMD and grey theory

Yachao Jia et al.

Summary: The paper presents a novel denoising method for vibration signals based on EEMD and grey theory, named EEMD-Grey, which effectively removes noise and retains useful information. By evaluating noise levels of IMF components and utilizing the G-model to remove noise-dominant IMF components, the EEMD-Grey method demonstrates its effectiveness in denoising compared to other methods, particularly in processing vibration signals from hob spindles.

Adaptive Complex Variational Mode Decomposition for Micro-Motion Signal Processing Applications

Saiqiang Xia et al.

Summary: In this paper, a method based on CVMD is proposed to suppress the strong clutter component and separate the effective fretting component from radar echo. The method extends VMD from the real domain to the complex domain and determines the optimal effective order of singular value through SVD, leading to higher accuracy. By calculating the Mahalanobis distance to judge correlated modes, the separation of micro-motion signals can be achieved more effectively.
