Potential measurement of Iran's western regional wind energy using GIS

Rahim Zahedi et al.

Summary: This study explores the potential of wind energy resources in western Iran using a geographic information system and a multi-criteria decision support system. By considering technical, environmental, economic, and geographical factors, the study predicts that wind power could contribute 26% of the region's electricity supply by 2025. The method used in the study can be applied for future wind potential measurements and could benefit from integration with fuzzy AHP method for improved accuracy.

Influencing mechanics and correction method of nuclear magnetic resonance measurement in igneous rocks reservoir

Maojin Tan et al.

Summary: Using numerical simulation and laboratory experiment, this study demonstrates that paramagnetic minerals affect the magnetization of fluids in pores and the rate of echo decay in igneous rocks, resulting in a substantial underestimation of NMR porosity. A new approach is proposed to correct the NMR measurements, improving the agreement between corrected porosity and T-2 distribution with the model.

Heat generation effects from shear friction along Xianshui river strike-slip fault in western Sichuan, China

Yifei Ai et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of shear frictional heat on high-temperature hydrothermal activity in the Xianshui river fault zone using numerical simulation methods. The results indicate that shear frictional heat plays a key role in generating local thermal anomalies in the high-temperature hydrothermal system. The interaction between thermal conductivity, shear stress, and temperature contributes to maintaining dynamic equilibrium in the system.

Landscape framework for the exploitation of renewable energy resources and potentials in urban scale (case study: Iran)

Maryam Norouzi et al.

Summary: This meta-analysis of renewable landscape energies in Iran highlights the generally low level of achievement of stated goals, attributing it to weaknesses such as diversity in RE documents and agencies, lack of operational programs, and sub-optimal use of private sector capacity. The study suggests that with more conducive conditions for private sector participation and appropriate action plans, Iran could potentially supply various types of renewable energy to neighboring countries.
