The study investigated the physico-chemical and biological responses to conventional and UHDR electron and proton beams, including conventional photons. The temporal structure and nature of the beams had an impact on both, with electron beams at >= 1400 Gy/s and proton beams at 0.1 and 1260 Gy/s found to have an isoefficient effect on sparing zebrafish embryos.
