3D Free-breathing multichannel absolute B1+Mapping in the human body at 7T

Sebastian Dietrich et al.

Summary: This study introduces and investigates a method for generating homogeneous FA distributions in the human body at ultrahigh field using free-breathing 3D B-1(+) mapping. Experimental validation on healthy subjects and motion phantom demonstrates successful acquisition of 3D B-1(+) maps, showing FA differences in different breathing states.

Three-dimensional static and dynamic parallel transmission of the human heart at 7 T

Christoph Stefan Aigner et al.

Summary: This study investigates the feasibility of applying 3D flip angle (FA) homogenization targeting the whole heart via static phase-only and dynamic kT-points in parallel transmission at 7T. Results show that 3-4 kT-points achieve a good tradeoff between RF power and nominal FA homogeneity, demonstrating practicality in mitigating FA heterogeneities in the entire 3D heart volume.

On the way to routine cardiac MRI at 7 Tesla-a pilot study on consecutive 84 examinations

Theresa Reiter et al.

Summary: CMR at ultrahigh field (7T) offers high resolution and fast image acquisition, but requires specific hardware and pulse sequences. This study demonstrates that a commercially available 7T MRI system allows for solid morphological and functional analysis, similar to clinically established CMR, without major method developments. It opens the possibility of combining routine CMR in patients with advanced 7T technology development.

3D Free-breathing multichannel absolute B-1(+) Mapping in the human body at 7T

Sebastian Dietrich et al.

Summary: A method for free-breathing three-dimensional B-1(+) mapping of the human body at ultrahigh field (UHF) was introduced and validated in 11 healthy subjects. The method successfully acquired 3D B-1(+) maps free of visible motion artifacts and can be used for investigating and developing 3D B-1(+) shimming and parallel transmission methods.
