Surface mining and low birth weight in central appalachia

Dylan S. Small et al.

Summary: The study found that surface mining activities from 1990 to 2011 did not significantly increase the risk of low birth weight. However, surface mining activities from 2012 to 2017 were significantly associated with low birth weight, providing statistical evidence for the link.
